This Privacy Policy explains how SPT Analytics (the “Web App/Extension”, “we”, “our”, “us”) handles user data.
The Web App/Extension does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data, browsing activity, or identifiable user information to external servers.
Any information you provide (such as Alpaca API credentials, preferences, or symbol lists) is stored locally in your browser using Chrome’s secure chrome.storage.sync API.
These values remain under your control and can be removed anytime via the Settings page, by uninstalling the packaged browser extension, or by clearing stored site data when you use the web app.
The Web App/Extension retrieves financial and technical data from secure HTTPS APIs only when you request analysis.
Data requests are made to:
paper-api.alpaca.markets and data.alpaca.markets — primary stock and market datafinance.yahoo.com — secondary source for fallback and fundamental informationThe following Chrome permissions are used:
storage — to save user preferences and API keys locallycookies — for Yahoo session crumbs to access fundamental datatabs and scripting — for controlled data fetch executionNo information is shared with third parties. The Web App/Extension operates entirely client-side.
You can reset or delete all stored data from the Settings view, by uninstalling the browser extension, or by clearing stored site data for the web app.
All requests use HTTPS, and credentials are never sent to unauthorized domains. Still, users are responsible for keeping their Alpaca API keys confidential.
